Maya Road is coming to Paper Trails!

She will be teaching one class friday night and three classes on Saturday.
Caroline will provide you with tons of product for each class - what a deal!

Jacob's Ladder Instructions

Jacob’s Ladder Instructions
Ink the edges of the (12) 3.5" paper squares.
Spread a thin coat of adhesive on the backside of an inked 3.5" paper square.
Adhere the paper square to a 4" piece of chipboard square square.
Glue the remaining inked paper squares to the remaining chipboard squares in the same way.
Draw guidelines on the back of (6) pieces of the chipboard square from STEP 1.
Lay 3 of the chipboard square pieces face down in a row with the sides touching.
Use a ruler to align the pieces evenly at the top and bottom.
Lay the ruler across all 3 pieces, 1/2" up from the bottom edge.
Use a pencil to draw a line across all 3 chipboard square pieces.
Lay the ruler across all 3 chipboard square pieces 1/2" from the top edge and draw a second line.
Lay the ruler across the middle and draw a third guideline.
Repeat to draw guidelines on 3 more pieces of chipboard square.
There are now (6) chipboard square pieces with guidelines and six unmarked pieces.
Cut 1/4" wide ribbon into (3) 40" lengths.
Take (1) of the marked chipboard square pieces and place it on the work surface, with the guidelines facing up.
Squeeze a very thin line of adhesive across each of the guidelines.
Place one length of the ribbon on top of the lower glued guideline, with one end of the ribbon even at the left edge of the chipboard square and the tail of the ribbon trailing off the right side of the chipboard square.
Place another ribbon on the top glued guideline in the same way.
For the middle guideline, place the ribbon across the guideline with one end even at the right edge of the chipboard square and the tail of the ribbon trailing off to the left.
Squeeze a liberal amount of adhesive on the backside of one of the unmarked pieces of chipboard square.
Place this piece on top of the ribboned chipboard square0, sandwiching the ribbon between the (2) pieces of chipboard square.
Flip the direction of the top and bottom ribbons over the paper-covered side of the chipboard square piece so that the tails go to the left.
Flip the direction of the center ribbon so that the tail goes to the right.
Without adding any glue, stack another marked chipboard square on top of the ribbons with the guidelines facing up.
Now run a thin bead line of glue on each of the guidelines marked on the chipboard square.
Flip the ribbons over onto the glued guidelines.
Repeat until there is only (1) piece of unmarked chipboard square remaining.
Before gluing the last chipboard square piece into place, trim the ribbon ends so that they are even with the edge of the chipboard square square.
Glue the last piece of chipboard square on top of the trimmed ribbons.
The Jacob’s Ladder structure is complete.
When decorating your Jacob’s Ladder, orient photos and embellishments vertically and underneath the ribbons. This allows the ladder to flip properly and the images to appear to move up and down the ladder.
